January, 11, 1998 (Dallas) As the Chen Tao cult prepares for the March 31, 1998 coming of God to Garland, Texas, local authors Rodney Perkins and Forrest Jackson have been closely assisting the international Center for the Study of New Religions (CESNUR) to understand this sect. Perkins & Jackson, authors of the critically and academically acclaimed study of the Heaven's Gate Cult, Cosmic Suicide, have interviewed the spokesman of the Chen Tao sect, Mr. Richard Liu.
